Jackie joined our team in 2023 as a veterinary assistant. Jackie was born in the Greater Toronto area to Portuguese-immigrant parents. He began studying social work, but soon realized his passion lay with helping animals. Jackie works closely with our technician team, where his enthusiasm and dedication to learning is giving him a jump-start on his path to one day becoming a technician himself.
Jackie is a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community and is dad to his 3 cats: Harley, Storm and Binx. Although Jackie is definitely one of our resident cat lovers, his love for creatures is not limited to our feline friends. When not at work or doting over his cats, he has many hobbies including creating art, learning languages, reading, playing video games and dancing.
